Every year we like to do something to help out local charities in the festive period, and this year was no different. We donned up with bundles of blankets, toys, food, and treats to head down to 8 Below Husky Rescue in Brotherton, North Yorkshire to go and spread some Christmas joy to the Huskies waiting to be rehomed. This charity is one close to home for us as our HR officer rescued her beloved Tommy from the centre a year ago, and as you can see he is now full of life and in his forever home.
8 below are a small registered charity who specializes in rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming northern breed dogs and their crosses throughout the UK. They are solely funded and rely on donations and fundraising events to run. They also work with pounds all across the country and have a partnership with Battersea dogs home to help rehome the northern breeds in general and give them a better chance at getting specialized care and support which will aid them in getting a forever home.
The charity is always welcome to opportunities to speak to supporters who are interested in getting more involved with the work they do, either by; fostering a dog, adoption, or helping to fundraise at events and raise awareness of the work they do. Every little helps them to ensure the dogs in their care get the highest quality care and love they deserve during their time in the center.
