Project Overview
CPS recently completed a project for a prestigious wedding venue in Whitchurch.
We supplied a CPS Alpha Series Scania Powered 365 KVA prime rated generator. Using a Scania DC13 072A 02-11 engine, coupled to a Meccalte alternator housed in a soundproof canopy for noise reduction.
This project was to initially provide PRIME power for the site to power the venues kitchen, until the national grid were able to provide power at a later date, with the generator then becoming standby back up with an ATS Panel for automatic start should there be a power outage.
This project was time critical as the site needed the Generator in place for March for the start of the Wedding season, not to impact any customers on their special day.
A couple of site visits and constant communication between the client and CPS ensured that the generator specification matched the customers’ needs and demands of the venue.
The customer wanted the ability to run the generator for a full day during the wedding season therefore an increased 1200 litre fuel tank was fitted. They also required reduced sound levels as to not impact on the happy couples special day. We were able to increase sound attenuation to reduce DBA to 65 at 1 metre.
We also built, installed and commissioned the generator on site. Post installation the customer wanted an adapted exhaust system to be added – we were able to revisit and install extended pipework that helped with both emissions and noise even further.
We also provided a comprehensive service package to ensure all maintenance is completed to ensure optimum running throughout the wedding season.
