Over the past few months, we have had an increase in interest in our bespoke power supplies, we always love working with our clients to help put together the perfect generator set for their application.  Our most recent project has been working together with a long-standing dealer to create a power solution fit for Dewsbury Hospital, Leeds.

We used a Cummins QSX15-68 500Kva engine coupled to a Stamford HCI544C Alternator, and controlled using a Deep Sea Electronics DSE4520 Control Module, and provided the customer with a years’ worth of servicing and maintenance parts to ensure the power solution remained reliable, and they could carry out the servicing as and when required.

Before we installed their new generator our team of highly skilled engineers went to the site and decommissioned their old set and ensured that the area was fit for the installation. We also carried out a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) here at CPS to make sure everything was as it should be. Once we got their new set to site a Load Bank test was carried out to double-check that the generator would be able to run at the required loads and that the noise levels were up to par.

It was important that the generator was quiet to minimize the disruption so that the sound levels of the set are an impressive 68dba@1m as per the customer’s request. Other features of the set include:

Safety Features: Push release emergency handles for safety, and interior and exterior emergency stops

Lighting: Interior LED lighting throughout, and an exterior beacon light for when the generator is operational

Container: Sound and weatherproof fully bunded 20-foot container

Fuel Filling: Large internal fuel tank and external fuel filling point

Ventilation: Air Louvers

Features: Colour coded wiring looms, Water Traps, Residential Silencer
