It’s national apprenticeship week this week, and here at CPS, we are always looking to help shape young minds and give people the leg up they need to get onto the career ladder.
Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to give the younger generation a chance to gain some valuable experience in the workplace while also achieving a qualification alongside it. We are passionate about the opportunities we offer to upcoming apprentices, so yesterday two of our team members Zoe (HR Officer and Business Administrator) and Samuel (Current business administration apprentice) went to the Selby College apprenticeship fair to go and speak to some young people about the prospect of a vocational future.
Local MP Nigel supported the event alongside a plethora of other local companies offering apprenticeships.
The fair was attended by a lot of young people, potential employers, and members of the local community and council. Samuel and Zoe spoke to a lot of aspiring apprentices who were interested in a range of career opportunities with CPS. There was a great atmosphere and buzz from the show, and it was great to see so many students actively striving for a career in the power industry.
As always, CPS will continue to support and invest in the local community, and help young people to succeed in their professional life.
